Paint the District Yellow

In an effort to gain name recognition, we have devised a strategy to “brand” Zonta, by associating it with the color yellow! The yellow rose is our symbol, and our colors are mahogany and gold (a form of yellow).

Tactics:

Provide yellow “Ask Me About My Club” buttons to every member in the District.

Use yellow balloons with the Zonta logo at events- they are fun, and inexpensive!

Produce the “Little Yellow Rose Book” – a collection of jokes and inspirational sayings about women- include some information about Zonta

“Invitation to Join” postcard- include the yellow rose- to be given to guests who attend our Zonta functions, and distributed in other ways.

Zonta’s 85th Birthday- Encourage clubs to have a party, with yellow balloons and a birthday cake, wear yellow, eat yellow food, play yellow games (yellow charades, yellow trivia etc), take pictures and submit to your local newspaper

International Women’s Day (IWD) and Zonta Rose Day- ask merchants to “dress a window in yellow” to commemorate the day and Zonta, encourage everyone to wear yellow to work, wear your button to work, distribute yellow bookmarks, use the balloons, put yellow ribbons on car antennae…

Yellow clothing- club members should wear Zonta yellow shirts, caps to events where they will be seen by the public. Wear yellow suits, sweater, shirt, scarf, yellow hats!

If you have more suggestions, please send them in! Let’s share, and have some fun!
