Archives are the preservation of a group's heritage, a body of knowledge to hand down to others. Good record keeping is essential to keep women's organizations like Zonta in historical annals.

Zonta Club Archives need to be maintained and include:

- CLUB CHARTER

- CLUB BYLAWS (if the club chooses to have a set separate from the Zonta International Bylaws)

- CLUB BYLAWS OPTIONS (if applicable)

- MINUTES OF ALL CLUB BUSINESS MEETINGS AND CLUB DECISIONS - they reflect what we are accomplishing and who we are

- A MEMBERSHIP ROSTER FOR EACH YEAR OF THE CLUB'S EXISTENCE

- FINANCIAL RECORDS

- A RECORD OF ALL CLUB SERVICE PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN, THEIR OUTCOME, AND TOTAL
CONTRIBUTIONS

- BACK ISSUES OF THE CLUB'S NEWSLETTER, ZONTAIN MAGAZINE, AREA DIRECTOR'S
NEWSLETTER, AND GOVERNOR'S NEWSLETTER.

- DISTRICT CONFERENCE MINUTES

- AREA MEETING MINUTES

- RECORDS OF MONENTOUS ANNIVERSARIES OR EVENTS

- CLUB AWARDS AND ACHIEVEMENTS

- CLUB PRESS CLIPPINGS

- IMPORTANT CORRESPONDENCE

LOCATIONS:
LOCAL HISTORICAL MUSEUM, PUBLIC LIBRARY, COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OR A PUBLIC FACILITY THAT PROVIDES A PERMANENT ARRANGEMENT WITH FREE ACCESS TO CLUB'S MATERIAL.
